Marc G. Kroop is co-founder and CFO of Advantage Law Group and he specializes in the field of employment law. Marc’s practice includes both the representation of employees as well as employers.
While attending law school at Willamette University Salem, Oregon, Marc served as Senior Law Clerk to Daniel Ellis, Chief Judge of the Oregon Employment Relations Board. In that capacity, Marc drafted decisions for Judge Ellis, attended board hearings and provided counsel to Judge Ellis on legal standards including Oregon state law and decisions by the National Labor Relations Board.
At Willamette University, in addition to obtaining his Juris Doctor degree in 1993, Marc received the University's highly regarded Certificate of Dispute Resolution as a result of focused course work in the areas of Labor and Employment Law, Arbitration, Mediation and Negotiation.
Since passing the California Bar Exam in 1993, Marc has gained admittance to all of California's state courts and the Federal Southern and Central District courts in California. From 1996 to present, Marc's practice has included all major venues in California, from San Diego to San Francisco.
Marc has successfully represented more than 500 employees in employment-related disputes and has mediated, arbitrated and/or litigated more than 100 cases to successful resolution. Marc's legal practice focuses on helping his clients avoid protracted legal disputes whenever possible through the implementation of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, primarily mediation and arbitration. Marc enjoys working relationships with the preeminent mediators in the state of California.
Marc has provided pro bono legal services to indigents and has donated his time generously to the Special Olympics and American Cancer Society. Originally from Teaneck, New Jersey, Marc attended the University of Maryland and received a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. Marc has lived in San Diego since 1993. Outside of work, Marc enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children.
